Roseola

Well after 5 days of off & on fever I got Bailey in to see the doctor on Friday. She has Roseola. It is a fairly mild and common viral illness. In fact Friday was the first day she has a rash on her stomach which is the sure sign of Roseola after a fever for several days. She is already feeling better & the doctor said the rash may get worse before getting better but the fever should be finished & she should be back to normal.

Busy Week for Bailey

On Tuesday we went for Bailey's one year check up & shots. When we were getting out of the car we see Leslie & Tilly pull up. They were there for Tilly's check up & shots. What are the odds that we would have the same appointment time! We do see the same doctor (as do as half the other kids in the county)

So the girls got to play for a minute before going back for check ups.

Bailey was not excited to be getting shots.

Bailey got a great report. Her skills are right on track & her growth is good & steady. She is in the 5th percentile for height & weight.

She is: 16lbs 2 oz & 26 inches tall.

On Thursday Bailey went to her first Mother's Day Out at our church. She did pretty good. When I first dropped her off she didn't cry. But then I wanted to sneak in & take a picture of her & she spotted me so the pictures are of course of her crying. She cried some in the morning but then ate all her lunch (side note: I had to pack her a lunch. Talk about feeling like your baby is growing up fast. The night before I told Blake I needed to pack Bailey's lunch & saying it out loud made it sound like she was off to kindergarten already) anyway she also took a nap with all the other kids (this is a first for her to sleep with other kids in the room) All in all she did great!

On Friday we were out running around town & Blake said to "get that baby a smoothie." I think Bailey liked that idea.

Party Time Part 1

Bailey's first birthday party couldn't have been better! She was a little social butterfly & loved every minute.

Bailey didn't really like Tilly in her car so she decided to just climb in on top of her. Poor Tilly did not want Bailey riding on her lap.

Bailey is 1 year old today!!!!

We have had a fun day! This morning we went & met Bailey's teachers for Mother's Day Out at Geyer Springs. She will be going on Thursdays. She already tried to kiss one of the boys in her class. I realized that we all encourage her to give kisses & think it is so cute but how do you make her understand that you can't kiss other kids. (Bailey's kisses are open mouth & sometimes she bites a little)

She has been busy playing all afternoon & not really with her new toys (go figure) but having a blast!

Look at all she has already gotten & her party is not until Saturday!

For dinner we went to Bailey's favorite place- Chick-fil-a ! Nana & Paw Paw (Beth & Kevin) joined us. After eating Bailey played on the play ground & when the other kids & parents found out it was her birthday they all sang "happy birthday" & clapped for her. She of course loved it!

(Oh yeah & she tried to kiss this little boy.)

We finished the day off with a cupcake at home. She did not disappoint.
